Infinite Blossom Counseling welcomes referrals from immigration attorneys seeking independent, trauma-informed mental health evaluations for clients whose psychological functioning, trauma history, hardship, or other clinically relevant experiences may be pertinent to an immigration matter.
Evaluations are conducted by Mirdith Remy-Valeus, LMHC, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Services are available in English and Haitian Creole.
Evaluation Approach
Each evaluation is approached as an independent clinical assessment. The evaluator’s role is to assess and document clinically relevant information, not to determine legal eligibility or advocate for a particular legal outcome. Clinical opinions are based on the information obtained through interviews, assessment, available records, and professional judgment.

Referral Process
- Submit the online attorney referral form or contact Infinite Blossom Counseling directly.
- Provide the basic purpose of the referral, relevant immigration matter, known deadlines, and client contact information.
- The client is contacted regarding scheduling, evaluation procedures, fees, informed consent, and applicable limits of confidentiality.
- With the client’s written authorization, relevant records may be requested from counsel.
- The clinical evaluation is completed.
- The written report is prepared and securely delivered according to the agreed process.
Helpful Documents
When available and relevant, attorneys may provide documents that help clarify the referral question and factual context. Examples may include:
- Attorney referral letter or brief statement describing the purpose of the evaluation
- Relevant client declaration or affidavit
- Pertinent immigration or legal documents
- Relevant medical or mental health records
- Prior evaluations, when applicable
- Other records that may provide clinically relevant context
Please do not delay a referral solely because all documents are not yet available. The evaluator can identify what additional information may be helpful after reviewing the referral.
Attorney Communication & Clinical Independence
With written client authorization, communication with referring counsel may include clarification of the referral purpose, scheduling, relevant documentation, and other appropriate case-related information. Attorney collaboration does not alter the evaluator’s clinical independence. The content and conclusions of the report remain based on clinical findings and professional judgment.
Factual corrections may be addressed when appropriate. Requests to change clinical findings or opinions for legal strategy purposes will not be accommodated.
Timeline
Turnaround time varies depending on case complexity, scheduling, and whether additional records or information are needed. The goal is to have reports available within approximately 2–3 weeks following the client’s final interview, assuming necessary information has been received. Expedited requests may be considered depending on availability.
Fees
The comprehensive standard immigration mental health evaluation fee is $1,500. Immigration evaluations are private-pay services and insurance is not accepted. Current fee and payment information will be reviewed before scheduling. Expedited completion, when available, and professional services outside the standard evaluation scope may involve additional fees.
