Clinical Evaluation with Purpose and Integrity
Immigration matters often involve experiences that are deeply personal, complex, and difficult to describe within legal documents alone. An immigration mental health evaluation provides an independent clinical assessment of psychological functioning, relevant history, symptoms, and psychosocial context when those factors are relevant to an immigration matter.
At Infinite Blossom Counseling, evaluations are approached with clinical objectivity, trauma-informed care, cultural responsiveness, and respect for the individual’s lived experience. The goal is to conduct a careful assessment and prepare a clear, individualized written report that accurately reflects clinically relevant findings.
Evaluation Types
Evaluations may be available, when clinically appropriate and within professional scope, for:
- Asylum
- Extreme Hardship
- VAWA
- U Visa
- T Visa
- Cancellation of Removal
The type of evaluation requested is generally informed by the immigration matter and, when applicable, the referring attorney. Clinical conclusions remain independent and are based on information obtained through the evaluation process.
What the Evaluation May Include
- A comprehensive clinical interview
- Review of relevant personal, family, migration, trauma, medical, mental health, and psychosocial history
- Assessment of current symptoms and psychological functioning
- Appropriate clinical screening or assessment measures when indicated
- Review of relevant records supplied for the evaluation, when available
- Communication with the referring attorney when appropriate and authorized by the client
- An individualized written clinical report
English & Haitian Creole
Evaluations are available in both English and Haitian Creole. Haitian Creole-speaking clients may complete the clinical interview directly with the evaluator, allowing them to communicate important experiences in the language in which they are most comfortable.
Serving Massachusetts & Rhode Island
Mirdith Remy-Valeus, LMHC is licensed in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Virtual evaluations are available for appropriate clients who are physically located in Massachusetts or Rhode Island at the time of the clinical service, consistent with applicable licensure requirements. In-person appointments may also be available.
For Attorneys and Clients
Attorneys may refer clients directly for an evaluation. Prospective clients may also contact Infinite Blossom Counseling to inquire about services. When an attorney is involved, communication may occur with the client’s written authorization regarding the purpose of the evaluation, relevant documentation, scheduling, and other appropriate case-related information.

Immigration mental health evaluations are private-pay services. Insurance is not accepted for these evaluations. Evaluation services do not constitute legal advice and do not guarantee or predict the outcome of an immigration matter. Form N-648 Medical Certification for Disability Exceptions is not offered.
